Siderado, recorded in the carioca studio AR, was produced by two English blokes, John Shaw, one of the producers of the reggae group UB 40, and Paul Ralphs. The album was mixed in the Abbey Road studios, London, a studio that still preserves the memories of the Beatles. Besides songs written with Nando Reis and Chico Amaral, Siderado introduces new partners like Marcelo Yuka, from Rappa in "Do Ben" and Rodrigo Leão from Professor Antena in "Saideira". The instrumental group Uakti participated in "No Meio do Mar" and Daúde in "Don Blás". The graphic project was created by Marcus Barão with paintings by César Maurício, a fine artist and singer of the group Radar Tantan. The photos are by Bob Wolfenson. Siderado was launched in July l998 and sold 750,000 copies.
