Radiola, the first selection of successes, has fixed its focus on the material produced in the 21st Century (in Maquinarama -2000 and Cosmotron - 2003). Added to eight hits remasterised in New York, by Michael Fossenkemper, who also works with the band in O Samba Poconé (1996), there are four novelties for the public. "Um Mais Um", a song by Samuel Rosa and Rodrigo Leão, and "Onde Estão?", by Samuel and Nando Reis, are totally new and especially made for Radiola. The album also includes two newly launched versions: "Vamos Fugir", by Gilberto Gil and Liminha (launched by the baiano songwriter and the Wailers in1984), was recorded for the Rider summer advertisement campaign, the same campaign that also included Lulu Santos, Tim Maia, Paralamas and others; "I Want You" (from the classic LP Blonde on Blonde, of 1966) was recorded at the end of 1999 for a tribute to Bob Dylan, an album that was never released. It was the first time that the band and producer Tom Capone worked together (the partnership was consolidated in the two following albums recorded in the studio).

Overlaying the twelve songs in Radiola, is the work of Rob and Christian Clayton, two brothers from Colorado who worked in Los Angeles and have collaborated to the magazines Rolling Stone and Francis Ford Coppola’s Zoetrope. They are also responsible for the art direction of the clip “All around the World”, Oasis. The sleeve for the first compilation of the songs of Skank, "Happy All The Day", was displayed in the latest exhibition of the Clayton Brothers in La Luz de Jesus (Los Angeles) in November 2003. At the same time his work recalls other “painted sleeves” (like Siderado and O Samba Poconé, for example), it perverts this tradition with a touch of surrealism, avant-garde pop art.
